Supply Chain Director

What you will be doing:

  • Independently or through direct reports manage all or some of the following teams: Capacity & Production Planning, Global Warehousing, USA & EU logistics operation, BOM procurement, international logistics – shipping, inbound & outbound.
  • Oversee, direct, and manage the supply chain operations activities for Insightec, including supply planning, production capacity planning to meet demand, securing raw materials, BOM inventory and spare parts management which meet business needs and international standards, warehousing management, global 3PL operations, US domestic distribution of systems and treatment kits. Identify strategic supply risks and implement corrective actions to maintain supply continuity.
  • Understanding the future needs and challenges of the global supply chain. Create plans to meet those challenges while alignment with the relevant business partners such as the commercial countries managers, service, and finance.
  • Responsible for the implementation and approval of technical transition of products from R&D to manufacturing readiness in New Product Introductions (NPI) and through commercialization.
  • Ensure that all products are designed, developed, and manufactured in compliance with the company Quality System, budgetary requirements, and the regulatory requirements of the countries into which the products will be shipped.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics and advanced working practices using Lean, 6 Sigma, and problem-solving methods to drive accountability and improve both operational and financial performance. Works directly with sales, service, regulation, R&D, programs, QA, operations, and finance departments to determine the most cost-effective solutions for day-to-day and future challenges.
  • Assign responsibilities, delegate authority, select, orient, and train the supply chain teams. Plan, monitor and appraise job results. Direct and maintain activities designed to achieve and maintain high employee morale and motivation. Ensure the teams are appropriately staffed with the required competencies. Lead and foster intra- and inter-department cooperation as well as collaborate with cross-functional corporate functions.
  • Member of the operations staff.

What you have {Skills, Education and Experience}:

  • A/B.Sc. or higher degree - industrial Engineering/Supply chain management/Logistics management
  • At least 10 years of experience managing teams at global supply chain and procurement or production planning or global logistics teams.
  • At least 5 years of experience with medical supply chain/production planning at manufacturing companies.
  • Proven record of establishing significant global supply chain process development.
  • Proven knowledge using Lean, 6sigma, problem solving tools such as MBPS/PRIDE.
  • Developed and implemented operational excellence processes related to efficiency, process optimization programs and cost reduction.
  • Strong analytical / ERP skills to lead a KPI driven organization.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations specific to the medical device. Experience with FDA/CE supply chain audits.
  • High level of English communication skills both spoken and written.
