Clinical Application Manager, Japan
About The Position
What you will be doing {responsibilities and duties}:
· Regional Leadership & Execution
o Serve as the primary clinical applications lead for the Japanese market, ensuring effective regional execution aligned with global business strategies.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including neurosurgeons, neurologists, MR technologists, and clinical staff.
o Collaborate with the Country Manager, Account Manager, and Sales teams to support system adoption and clinical excellence.
o Plan and coordinate clinical activities to meet business objectives and ensure alignment with regulatory and operational requirements in Japan.
· Clinical Support & Training
o Oversee clinical training of Exabale Neuro system, certification, and ongoing support for existing and new hospital sites.
o Provide expert guidance during patient treatments, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to established clinical protocols.
· Team Leadership
o Supervise, mentor, and develop Clinical Application Specialists within the Japanese team.
o Monitor performance, provide coaching and guidance, and ensure professional growth and skill advancement.
o Support workload management, resource allocation, and training for new team members.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Partner with Medical & Clinical Affairs, Scientific Research, and Service teams to address technical or procedural challenges.
o Provide field insights and feedback to regional and global teams to improve product usability and clinical workflows.
o Support coordination of clinical research and post-market studies in Japan in collaboration with clinical sites and internal teams.
· Education & Advocacy
o Represent Insightec in clinical forums, symposia, and professional meetings.
o Support the development and localization of clinical education materials in accordance with Japanese medical standards.
· Perform other related activities, as assigned.
Requirements
What you have {Skills, Education and Experience}:
· Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related clinical discipline (advanced degree preferred).
· Experience:
o Minimum 5 years of clinical, application, or field experience in neurology, neurosurgery, or MRI-guided therapies.
o At least 2–3 years in a leadership or mentoring capacity preferred (managing or supervising clinical teams).
o Solid understanding of neurological treatment workflows, neurosurgical environments, and hospital operations.
o Experience with energy-based or image-guided surgical devices (MRI, Ultrasound, Stereotactic, or Radiation Therapy) is advantageous.
o Previous exposure to multinational medical device environments and cross-functional collaboration is desirable.
· Skills & Competencies:
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in Japanese and English.
o Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
o Deep clinical and technical understanding of neuroanatomy and MR-guided procedures.
o High level of autonomy, organization, and problem-solving ability.
o Willingness to travel across Japan and APAC region (approximately 60%), including the weekend and holiday, with a short notification and dynamic changes to schedule.
