About The Position
The role combines a strong electronics design background with expertise in system interconnections and the ability to independently lead tasks from requirements through design, integration, verification, and production support. It requires structured problem-solving, ownership of technical investigations, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions on schedule.
What you will be doing:
· Design and Own board development from requirements and component selection through schematic design, PCB layout guidance, simulation, bring-up, and verification.
· Own the specification, design, development, and verification of cable assemblies, harnesses, connectors, and electrical interfaces.
· Define interconnect architectures, connector selections, pin assignments, shielding, grounding, and cable routing in collaboration with electronics, mechanical, software, and system engineering teams.
· Address signal integrity, power distribution, EMC/EMI, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability requirements.
· Independently plan and lead engineering tasks, manage priorities and dependencies, identify risks, and deliver high-quality results on schedule.
· Lead hands-on debugging, technical investigations, and root-cause analysis of board-level and system-level failures; implement corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.
· Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including design specifications, schematics, interface specifications, cable drawings, bills of materials, test plans, and verification reports.
· Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams on prototypes, production transfer, acceptance testing, and resolution of manufacturing issues.
· Support legacy electronics and systems, including design improvements, component obsolescence, and field issues.
