Insightec New Leadership

Insightec announced today that Eyal Zadicario has been appointed General Manager of Insightec. Eyal will lead the company’s Research and Development and Operations. Eyal has been involved in research and development of multidisciplinary advanced technology projects for more than 25 years. Eyal joined Insightec when it was founded in 1999, and in 2001, he became Insightec’s Neuro Program Manager where he led the development of Exablate Neuro that received CE approval in 2012. The Exablate Neuro system is being evaluated for additional regulatory approvals and researched for new applications in Neuroscience.

This new appointment follows the recent change in Insightec’s leadership. Dr. Maurice R. Ferré, a seasoned medical device executive with an impressive track record of turning medical device companies into successful businesses, has joined the Insightec leadership team as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer replacing Dr. Kobi Vortman, Insightec’s CEO and Founder. Dr. Kobi Vortman has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.  Dr. Vortman founded the company 16 years ago in 1999. His vision was to create the next generation operating room by developing MRgFUS technology as an effective, non-invasive form of therapy.  Under his leadership, Insightec developed and commercialized its Magnetic Resonance guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) technology which has been adopted by many medical centers worldwide. Kobi will continue to drive strategy, as well as the product roadmap in his new role as Vice Chairman.
