Quality Incoming Inspection Technician

What you will be doing:

  • Performing incoming inspection of mechanical, electric and electronic parts, and sub-assemblies
  • Performing shipping and release inspection of items, spare parts, components, and kits
  • Testing by drawings, specifications and instructions at the site and subcontractors as needed
  • Recording and analyzing testing results, reporting in forms and tables
  • Keeping organized related documentation, forms, files and electronic records, scanning and filing
  • Identifying defects, trends and proposing technical solutions and alternative testing methods
  • Supporting manufacturing quality related activities such as maintenance and calibration
  • Supporting engineering and R&D technical activities, such as verification and validation
  • Supporting customer complaints investigations
  • Quality investigations of non-conformances and malfunctions, from incoming inspection to returned parts (NCM, MRB, RMA), and investigations related to complaints
  • Trends identification, investigation and action items follow up
  • Testing of returned and/ or defective items, including rework
  • Issuing periodical quality reports
  • Active participation in quality projects, mostly related to manufacturing and audits as required

What you have:

  • Technical or engineering formal education
  • Proven background in quality activities, preferably related to production of medical devices and specifically in incoming, in-process and final inspection
  • Knowledge of current quality standards (ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820), preferably also ISO 14971 and ISO 17025
  • Experience with ERP systems and MS Office
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in similar or related positions, preferable in medical devices environment, such as CT/ MRI/ Ultra sound technologies or electronics/ mechanics related to medical devices/ SMT
  • English level adequate to technical activities, instructions and drawings reading and issuing technical reports and working procedures/ testing
  • Organized, proactive, team player, capable of taking responsibilities and leading activities from beginning to end.
  • Able to perform under stress and time constraints
  • Driving license
