Where in the World is…a Medical Center Offering Focused Ultrasound

So you have taken the Essential Tremor candidacy quiz, talked to your physician, and determined you are interested in focused ultrasound treatment for your essential tremor (ET), but what’s next? Where are treatment centers located?

In the United States, there are currently 34 treatment locations across 22 states, with new medical centers being added each year. Globally, there are 81 treatment centers including locations in Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

If you’re not located near a treatment center, traveling to one of these sites might be an option. However, travelling may be difficult for a multitude of reasons, especially during the pandemic, but don’t lose hope.

What can I do if I am not able to travel to a treatment site?

While it is our goal at Insightec to make focused ultrasound treatment for ET available to as many people as possible, we need your help sharing information about this life-changing technology with the decision makers in your healthcare community.

Between staffing shortages, funding cuts and overwhelming operational costs, hospitals are often struggling to allocate funds for requests for new technology and necessary infrastructure upgrades. But you can help!  Sharing your personal ET experience may help prioritize the adoption of focused ultrasound technology.
